Kanpur metro: Contract related to Line 2 attract 9 bidders
Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has informed that 9 firms (3 in a consortium) have submitted bids for the underground civil construction work of Kanpur Metro’s 8.6 km Line-2 which will connect Rawatpur and Jaurali via 8 stations. The bidders for the project are:
- Afcons – SAM India JV
- DRA – Soma JV
- Hindustan Construction Company (HCC)
- ITD Cementation
- J Kumar Infraprojects (JKIL)
- KPTL – Gulermak JV
- Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
- Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co (STEC)
- Tata Projects Ltd. (TPL)
The project worth Rs. 1025 crore has an estimated deadline of 30 months. As per the tender, the scope of work involves the design and construction of the TBM Tunnel, Cut and Cover Tunnel, ramp after Double Pullia, ramps in Agriculture Depot for main line and depot connections, and three underground metro stations (viz. Rawatpur, Kakadeo and Double Pullia) including Architectural finishes, etc. on Corridor-2 of Kanpur MRTS Project at Kanpur.
