Mumbai Metro: Line 3's phase 1 trials likely to begin next month
Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has informed that it will likely begin the Phase 1 trials for the Underground Mumbai Metro Line 3 next month. Very short tracklaying work is pending on the line.
MMRCL has conducted a 17 km trial run from MIDC to Vidyanagari metro station and back to SEEPZ. Tracklaying work on a very short distance of the Aqua Line is not complete and once it's done overhead power cables will be charged in both directions to facilitate the trial run for Phase 1.
33.5 Km-long line, also referred to as Aqua Line 3 or Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ line, which is also the first underground Metro Line of Mumbai.
