Bhubaneswar airport expansion work: Approval of AAI awaited for project worth Rs 1,000 crores
The expansion work of Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) is waiting for approval from the Airports Authority of India (AAI). This comes as the revised plan to create a single integrated terminal (T3), following stakeholder feedback, was cleared last year.
The proposed terminal will span 65,000 square metres and will accommodate both arrivals and departures under one roof. The estimated revised cost of the work is Rs 1,000 crores.
