PM Modi launches projects worth Rs 6,800 crore
Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi launched projects worth Rs 6,800 crore in the states of Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh. The projects are spread across sectors, including housing, road construction, agriculture, telecom, IT, tourism, and hospitality.
PM launched the Grih Pravesh program under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – urban and rural – schemes in Agartala. Other projects include:
- Foundation stones for multiple projects worth over Rs 2,450 crore in Tripura
- Projects worth over Rs 4,350 crore, including the construction of 32 roads with a length of over 230 km under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY III) and the improvement of 112 roads covering over 540 km in Tripura
- Inaugration of new campus of IIM Shillong
