Proposal to build nuclear power plants in Mahi Banswara gets AERB's nod
The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) has given its approval to build four 700 MWe units of atomic power reactors at Mahi Banswara in Rajasthan. Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) applied for AERB's consent for the plants that would be undertaken by Anushakti Vidyut Nigam, a joint venture between NPCIL and NTPC.
As per the update, the consent would be subject to re-review for any non-compliance with the stipulations and conditions.
