Rs 18,000 crore investment planned by Adani Power for Kawai Plant
The power arm of Adani Group, Adani Power has plans to more than triple the capacity of its Kawai power plant in Rajasthan with an investment of up to Rs 18,000 crore. As per the update, the current capacity of the plant is 1,320 MW, which will be expanded in two phases of 1,600 MW each, taking it to 4,520 MW over the next few years.
Adani Power has already given a Rs 10,000 crore order to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd to execute the expansion plan. The firm is also setting up new plants and expanding existing ones across India as part of its strategy to double thermal power capacity.
