Adani Power to set greenfield power plant in Mirzapur, to infuse Rs 14,000 crore
Multinational power and energy company Adani Power has plans to set up a 1600 megawatt (2x800 MW) greenfield ultra-supercritical thermal power plant at Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh. As per the firm, this is part of its strategy to double thermal power capacity to about 30 megawatts.
Adani Power has engaged BHEL for equipment supply and project supervision in this ambitious expansion. Further, the company has also initiated the development of a 1600 MW (2X800 MW) ultra-supercritical thermal power expansion project at its existing 1,370 MW plant at Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
