Union cabinet approves railway projects worth over Rs 24,000 crore
The Union Cabinet has cleared railway projects worth Rs 24,634 crore. The projects include the construction of the third and fourth lines along key routes to enhance capacity and connectivity across central India.
Four lines for which funds are approved are:
- 314-km Wardha–Bhusawal section in Maharashtra
- 84-km Gondia–Dongargarh stretch spanning Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh
- 259-km Vadodara–Ratlam corridor covering Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh
- 237-km Itarsi–Bhopal–Bina section in Madhya Pradesh
