Wainganga-Nalganga river linking project: Maharashtra government approves Rs 87,000 crore project
The cabinet of the Maharashtra State government has approved the ambitious Wainganga-Nalganga river linking project worth Rs 87,342.86 crore. As per the update, the project is set to irrigate approximately 3.75 lakh hectares of land across 15 towns in six districts of the region.
Under the project water from the Wainganga River in Godavari basin will be redirected to the Nalganga project in Buldhana district by constructing 426.52km of link canals.
