Ericsson plans to manufacture antennas in India
Swedish telecommunications firm Ericsson has plans to manufacture all its telecom antennas for the Indian market in India. The firm said demand from India's telecom companies surged in 2023, as Bharti Airtel and Jio, started to scale up 5G services amid the slowdown of orders from the United States.
As per the firm, it will localize all passive antenna production by June, with manufacturing taking place in Gurgaon with Ericsson's local partner, VVDN Technologies.
