Investment worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore planned by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel
Steel sector major ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel has announced plans to invest Rs 2.6 lakh crore in the next 10 years in India. The plan is to increase the company's steel production capacity by more than four times, targeting around 40 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
This expansion is fueled by a positive outlook on India's infrastructure and automobile sectors as the firm seeks to capitalise on the country's lower per capita steel consumption compared to global leaders.
