Telangana to get investments worth Rs 29,000 crore in clean energy projects
The state government of Telangana has bagged investments worth Rs 29,000 crore under its newly launched Telangana Clean and Green Energy Policy 2025. Ecoren Energy India Private Ltd and GPSR Arya Pvt Ltd have committed to investing in clean energy projects.
Ecoren Energy has identified multiple locations for wind and solar power projects worth Rs 27,000 crore in the state. These projects are:
- 3279 MW wind-solar hybrid project at three locations in Sangareddy and Narayanpet districts
- 1650 MWp floating solar project at seven locations in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district
- 650 MWp ground-mounted solar project at Jogulamba Gadwal district
GPSR Arya would also be investing in the state. The firm would be setting up 15 compressed biogas (CBG) projects of 15 tonnes per day capacity each at a total investment of around Rs 2000 crore through its joint venture companies with oil marketing public sector units such as Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL).
