Government Likely To Revamp New Delhi Station On Its Own
With an aim to fast-track the redevelopment of the New Delhi railway station, the government may delink the construction of the station complex from its commercial development of it. The project is currently undergoing evaluations as the government plans to move away from PPP mode to directly fund the EPC contracts. The Rs 4,700 Crore project is one of the key initiatives monitored by the PMO (Prime Minister's Office).
