Apple plans to invest Rs 100 crores for renewable energy expansion in India
Global tech major Apple has plans to invest Rs 100 crores in India for renewable energy capacity expansion. The firm has plans to develop more than 150 MW of green energy capacity, reduce plastic pollution, and foster green entrepreneurship in India.
For the expansion of renewable energy, it has joined with a green energy firm, CleanMax. Other areas of the plan are collaboration with WWF-India to support recovery-focused recycling and waste management initiatives.
Further, Apple is supporting Acumen as a part of the green entrepreneurship prorgam.
