Mumbai Metro: contract related to Kanjurmarg depot attracts 2 bids
Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has informed that 2 bidders namely Ahluwalia Contracts (India) and Sam India Builtwell have submitted bids for the civil construction contract (CA-209) of Mumbai Metro Line-6‘s Kanjurmarg Depot.
As per MMRDA, the depot will support operations on Mumbai’s 15.18 km elevated Pink Line, connecting Swami Samarth Nagar (Lokhandwala) – Vikhroli via 13 elevated stations. It will be connected to the main line via 4.771 km Package BC-01R1, under construction by J Kumar Infraprojects. The work involves the construction of a depot and essential staff quarters at Kanjurmarg for metro line 6.
The depot will consist of 18 stabling lines, 3 inspection bays, 4 workshop bays, an 811m long test track, an operations control center (OCC), administrative buildings, and staff quarters.
