Station redevelopment: Chandigarh to get Rs 462 crore station upgrade
Under the station redevelopment program of Indian railways, the redevelopment of Chandigarh Railway station is set to begin soon. The station will be upgraded with state-of-the-art facilities, such as a food court, a paid lounge, and office and retail space.
The cost for the project to be executed in (EPC) mode has been estimated at around Rs 462 crore and would be completed in two years. Delhi-based firm Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd would execute the project.
