Meja thermal power project: BHEL bags order worth Rs 21,000 crores
Government-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged an EPC order worth Rs 21,000 crore from Meja Urja Nigam (MUNPL). The order is for the package of the 3x800 MW Meja Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) Stage-II in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
BHEL will undertake the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning works. The period of completion of the work is 70 months that is, around 6 years.
