TCS acquires land in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, likely to setup data centre
Tech firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has acquired 200 acres of land in Andhra Pradesh and an 88-acre site near Pune. The Tata Group firm is likely to set up data centres under the OpenAI for India project in the southern and western parts of the country.
As per ET, land acquisition aligns with OpenAI's earlier announcement that it would be the first customer of Tata’s data center business, HyperVault. Under HyperVault, TCS aims to develop 1 GW of data center capacity.
