Zirakpur-Panchkula bypass project: NHAI floats tender worth Rs 1,878 crore
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has plans to float a tender worth Rs 1,878.31 crore for the Zirakpur-Panchkula bypass. As per the updates 19.2-km six-lane bypass would help motorists avoid the heavy rush on the existing overlapping portion of the four-lane National Highway (NH-5) and NH-7.
Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on 9th April, 2025 gave in-principle approval to construct the bypass in Punjab and Haryana on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). The last date for submitting the bids is June 16th, 2025. The lowest bidder will be announced by 31st July, 2025.
