3 Airports To Be Taken Over By Adani Group By Next Month
Indian multinational conglomerate company Adani Group would take over the operation and management of 3 airports by 7th November 2020. The company has won Mangalore, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow airports for operating, management, and development. The Mangalore airport would be taken over on 31st October 2020, the Lucknow airport on 2nd November 2020, and the Ahmedabad airport on 7th November 2020. The agreements for the operations, management, and development of the 3 airports through public-private partnerships (PPP) were inked on 14 February 2020.
3 memorandum of understanding (MoUs) has been signed by the Civil Aviation Ministry with Adani Ahmedabad International Airport, Adani Lucknow International Airport, and Adani Mangalore International Airport on 21 October 2020. The MoUs were signed for services such as customs, immigration, plant and animal quarantine, health, MET, and security. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) also inked 3 separate communication, navigation, and surveillance-air traffic management (CNS-ATM) agreements with the group.Â
