Railway awards contract worth Rs 1,100 crores for track maintenance equipment
The Indian Railways (IR) has awarded a contract worth Rs 1,100 crores. As per The Economic Times, the order is for the supply and maintenance of track maintenance equipment.
The order is bagged by a partnership of a Kanpur-based company and a Ukrainian firm. This order is for the deployment of the system at 18 railway zones, including dedicated freight corridors, to detect internal rail cracks using advanced diagnostic technologies.
