Pune to get new Growth Hub with an investment of Rs 40,000 crores
Minister of State for Urban Development, Government of Maharashtra, Madhuri Misal, has informed that Niti Aayog has approved the development of Growth Hub in Pune.
The project, worth Rs 40,000 crores, will focus on Metro connectivity, roads, industrial and corporate infrastructure, and other key issues. As per the minister, work had begun to set up 39 STPs along the rivers for which Rs 674 crores have been sanctioned. Among other things, under the project Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation–Nigdi metro line is expected to be completed by 2027.
The Swargate–Katraj route will likely be completed by 2029. The Hinjewadi–Shivajinagar Metro line was expected to be operational this year.
