Alpex Solar plans capacity enhancement of its UP facility
Solar energy solutions provider Alpex Solar has plans to establish a 2.2 GW capacity at its existing manufacturing facility in Kosi Kotwan, Uttar Pradesh. The plan is to boost capacity from the existing 6 GW to 2.2 GW, with an investment of Rs 136 crores.
The project will be implemented in two phases. Under Phase I, the company would develop a 1.4 GW G12R TOPCon solar cell capacity, which is targeted for trial production in the first quarter of FY 2026-27. Whereas, under Phase II, the company plans to develop the remaining 800 MW, which is expected to be completed within six months thereafter.
