Andhra Pradesh CM lays foundation for water project in Naravaripalle
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, laid the foundation for a water project at Naravaripalle village in the Chandragiri constituency. As per updates, the estimated cost of the project is Rs 126 crores, and it aims to bring Krishna River waters to the Tirupati district, thereby strengthening the region’s irrigation and drinking water supplies.
Under the project, the plan is to draw water from the Handri–Neeva branch canal and flow it to the Kalyani dam. The water would be lifted by about 10 metres at the 53-km point of the canal and diverted to local tanks before reaching the dam.
