Bangalore Metro: L&T bags contract worth Rs 501 crore related to blue line
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has informed that Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged the contract worth Rs 500.94 crore for work related to the Blue Line. The contract for the 56 km Line-5 (Blue Line) involves the supply and construction of approximately 110 km of ballastless tracks for the main line, as well as ballasted tracks within the remodeled Baiyappanahalli Depot and Airport Depot at Shettigere.
As per BMRCL contracts were awarded in two packages, with T1 covering the ORR line and a section of the airport line, estimated at Rs 268 crore, and T2 spanning from Kempapura Metro station to Airport Metro station, with an estimated cost of Rs 232 crore.
