Boeing to invest Rs 200 crore in India, plans logistics centre
Aerospace major Boeing has plans to invest around Rs 200 crore to set up a logistics center in India. The center would deliver spares to its customer airlines initially. It is planned to house spares for defense aircraft as well in the later phase.
This announcement comes from Boeing as Air India finalizes orders for 220 Boeing planes - 190 single-aisle B737 Max, 20 B787 Dreamliners, and 10 B777X. Further, Boeing has launched its first global support center (GSC) in Gurugram to conduct technical workshops and projects.
