Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Phase 1 inauguration expected soon as the work completes
The much awaited and Rs 13,000 crore worth mega project, the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, has seen the completion of work on phase 1. As of now, the official date for its inauguration is awaited. Once fully operational, the expressway will cut down travel time between Delhi and Dehradun from 5 to 6 hours to just a little over 2 hours.
In phase 1, work on the 32-km section from Akshardham to Baghpat is done, which would reduce the time between the two points from over an hour to 25 minutes. The complete expressway spans 210 kilometers and is a six-lane, access-controlled expressway.
