Tata Motors bags order for around 5,000 buses from across India
Tata Group's automobile arm, Tata Motors, has bagged an order for more than 5,000 buses and bus chassis from multiple State Transport Undertakings (STUs). As per The Economic Times, the orders are bagged from: Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation, North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, Bihar State Road Transport Corporation, Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, Haryana Roadways, and Chandigarh Transport Undertaking.
The supply will cover a wide range from Tata Magna, Tata Cityride, Tata Starbus, and Tata Starbus Prime. The orders are bagged through competitive e-bidding under the government procurement system. The supply under the orders will be made in multiple phases.
