Foxconn to start construction work at Bengaluru plant from next month
World's largest technology manufacturer and service provider Foxconn is planning to start construction of the Bengaluru plant in May. The mobile phone manufacturing unit would be near Bengaluru international airport.
The plant, to be set up on a 300-acre plot, will be Foxconn’s largest mobile manufacturing unit in the country. State high-level clearance committee (SHLC) headed by Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai cleared Foxconn’s proposal for the Rs 8,000-crore greenfield plant in March this year.
