Government Leases Out 3 Airports In The Country Under PPP Model To The Airports Authority Of India (AAI)
The union cabinet on Wednesday approved the leasing out of 3 airports in the country to the Airports Authority Of India (AAI). The leasing out would be done through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP). The 3 airports to be leased out are:

Guwahati

Thiruvananthapuram
The approval was given to the operation, management, and development contract that Adani Enterprises won in a global competitive bidding round. The Government has earlier decided to privatize 12 airports of the AAI. Ahmadabad, Mangalore, Lucknow, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Jaipur are already taken in the first phase of privatization.
