NLC India plans a CAPEX of Rs 1.25 lakh crore with focus on green energy
Central public sector undertaking, NLC India Ltd, has chalked out a CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) plan worth Rs 1.25 lakh crore by 2030. The investment is aimed at expanding the capacity from the existing 6.7 gigawatt (GW) to 20 GW.
The firm would spend around Rs 65,000 crore on renewables and other green initiatives, while around Rs 45,000 crore will be earmarked for thermal, and around Rs 15,000 crore for mining. Out of Rs 65,000 crore capex on renewables, around Rs 15,000 crore will be on the battery storage system.
