Government very likely to approve Vedanta and Foxconn chip factory
As per the updates, the chip-making plan of the Vedanta-Foxconn joint venture (JV) would soon get government approval. The plant would be approved under the USD10-billion Indian Semiconductor Mission (ISM).
The plan is for the fabrication of 40 nm (nanometre) chips paving the way for the Centre’s bid to establish India as a global hub for semiconductors.
