Investment worth Rs 5,000 crores to flow into Uttar Pradesh
The state of Uttar Pradesh has received investment commitments worth more than Rs 5,000 crores. These investment commitments are spread across sectors such as solar manufacturing, electronics, and IT.
State's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over allotment letters to 17 companies for setting up projects under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). Some of the major investments are:
- Rs 1,146 crores by Integrated Batteries India Pvt Ltd for a 4 GW solar photovoltaic cell manufacturing unit
- Rs 3,805 crore by CESC Green Power Ltd for a 3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility in the YEIDA spread over 100 acres
