NHAI to develop projects worth Rs 34,800 crores to decongest Delhi
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is looking to take a major step to decongest the national capital city of Delhi. Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) Nitin Gadkari outlined the status of 10 upcoming projects covering 186 km for Rs 34,800 crore.
These projects will be aimed at diverting freight traffic and providing connectivity to key centres in the region, such as the Noida International Airport. There are 134 locations or stretches identified as congestion points in the city.
