KPR Mills chalks out expansion plan with an investment of Rs 1,225 crore
The country's largest vertically integrated apparel manufacturing firm, KPR Mills, is gearing up for expansion and modernisation. The firm's Board of Directors has approved an investment worth Rs 1,225 crore.
This investment will fuel 7 projects spanning garmenting, processing, knitting and spinning. Under the plan, there are 3 greenfield facilities and 4 modernisation-cum-expansion initiatives across Odisha and Tamil Nadu. The 3 greenfield projects are:
- Greenfield ready-made garment manufacturing facility in Odisha with an annual capacity of 45 million garments. (Investment: Rs 450 crore)
- A processing factory at Perundurai, Coimbatore, with an annual processing capacity of 10,000 MT. (Investment: Rs 250 crore)
- A sweater manufacturing facility at Karumathampatti, Coimbatore, with a production capacity of 2.5 million garments annually. (Investment: Rs 75 crore)
Rs 450 crore will be invested in modernisation-cum-expansion projects. The firm aims to generate Rs 2,000 crore in annual turnover from these investments once the projects are fully operational.
