Mumbai Metro: Ircon emerges L one bidder for contract related to line 5
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has declared Ircon International as the L one bidder (lowest bidder) for the second major systems contract of Mumbai Metro’s 24.9 km Line-5 (Orange Line) which will connect Thane – Bhiwandi – Kalyan. The firm placed a bid of Rs 494 crore for the project.
As per updates line 5 is currently under construction. The scope of work under this tender involves commissioning the line’s power supply & electrification system, electrical & mechanical (E&M) system, lifts and escalators at its 7 elevated stations, and at Kasheli Depot.
