BHEL bags order worth over Rs 20, 000 crore
Public sector enterprise, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged orders worth over Rs 20,000 crore. The orders are from different firms from various states and has swelled the order book of BHEL to Rs 1,60,157 Crore.
The orders bagged are as follows:
- Order worth Rs 8,000 crore is bagged from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO). The order is for the BTG package (including equipment supply, erection, commissioning, and civil works) of the 2x660 MW Koradi Thermal Power Station Units 11 & 12 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The period of completion of the work is 52 months and 58 months respectively for Unit 11 and Unit 12.
- Another order was bagged in consortium with Hitachi Energy India Limited (HEIL). The firm has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Rajasthan Part I Power Transmission Limited (a special purpose vehicle under Adani Energy Solutions Limited) for the BF800 HVDC Project. The project aims to establish two HVDC LCC terminal stations of 6000 MW each at Bhadla and Fatehpur, along with a +800 kV HVDC LCC terminal station (4x1500 MW) connecting Bhadla III and Fatehpur.
- Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has handed the firm an order worth Rs 6,200 crore. The work involves the Steam Generator Island Package of the 2x660 MW Raghunathpur Thermal Power Station Phase-II project in the Purulia district, West Bengal. The scope of work covers the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the steam generator and auxiliaries, ESP, FGD systems, and ash handling systems along with electrical and C&I and associated civil work.
- Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has given the Letter of Intent (LOI) to BHEL for its project worth Rs 6,700 crore. The work involves the EPC package of the 1x800 MW Singareni Thermal Power Project, Stage II, located in Mancherial district, Telangana, India.
