Investment worth Rs 10,000 crore planned by Lam Research in Bengaluru
USA-based semiconductor firm Lam Research has plans to invest Rs 10,000 crore in a new facility near the international airport in Bengaluru. Announcemnet about the investment will be made at the global investors meet in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has already shared information about investment via his X handle. This comes at a time when the government has India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) under which it has approved 5 semiconductor units that will all receive central and state government subsidies under the program for the development of semiconductors and display manufacturing ecosystem in India with a total outlay of Rs 76,000 crore.
