Mumbai Metro: IRCON emerges as lowest bidder for work related to line 6
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has declared IRCON International as the lowest bidder (L one bidder) for the second major systems contract of Mumbai Metro’s 15.18 km Line-6 (Pink Line) which will connect Swami Samarth Nagar (Lokhandwala) – Vikhroli. The firm placed a bid of Rs 627 crore for the work.
Line-6’s systems under Package CA-233 include commissioning the line’s power supply & traction system, electrical & mechanical (E&M) system, lifts, and escalators at its 13 elevated stations.
As per the tender, the scope of work involves design, manufacture, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of power supply and traction, E&M, Lifts and Escalators Including 5 Years of Comprehensive Maintenance After 2 Years of Defect Liability Maintenance Period of Line 6.
