RVNL emerges lowest bidder for contract worth Rs 395 crore
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L one bidder) for a project of South Eastern Railway. The tender worth Rs 395 crore involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of an upgraded electric traction system from 1×25 KV to 2×25 KV between Kharagpur and Tatanagar.
Through the upgrade the railways aim to support a 3000 MT loading target in the Kharagpur/Chakradharpur division, enhancing railway electrification and operational efficiency. This comes after RVNL bagged an order worth Rs 404.4 crore contract from East Coast Railway for the Koraput-Singapur Road Doubling Project.
