Nokia to set R&D lab in Chennai plans investment worth Rs 450 crore
Finnish multinational telecommunications firm Nokia has plans to expand its R&D (Research and Development) footprint in India by setting up its largest global R&D facility for its fixed networks business in Chennai. The facility would take an investment of Rs 450 crore. The firm aims to drive innovation in technologies like 10G to 100 GPON, Fixed Wireless Access, Wi-Fi, and access networks via this R&D center.
