NTPC Renewable Energy to float tender for energy storage capacity
The wholly owned subsidiary of government-owned NTPC Limited, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has initiated the process to launch a tender for 9 gigawatt-hours of energy storage capacity. The storage project must be connected to the national grid per the tender.
As per the tender successful bidders and NTPC REL would enter an energy storage service agreement. The storage project would be charged with power from NTPC’s renewable energy projects and supplied to buyers seeking a predictable and stable renewable energy supply.
