Foxconn plans to set energy storage system in Uttar Pradesh
Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturer Foxconn is planning to set Battery Energy Storage System unit (BESS) in Uttar Pradesh. HCL and Foxconn announced forming a JV to set up an OSAT unit.
As per the update, the investment is expected to be USD 100 million to USD 150 million. Foxconn has been expanding its battery manufacturing business, focusing on the electric vehicle segment.
