SECI announces winning bid for 1,000 MWh energy storage tender
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) announced the winning bid for the 500MW/1,000MWh contract of standalone battery energy storage capacity. As per reports a special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed by the renewable energy subsidiary of power producer JSW Energy, JSW Renew Energy Five, had submitted a winning bid.
Bids were placed by ReNew Solar Power, NTPC Renewable Energy, and Azure Power, as well as international entities such as energy trading investment company Hartree Partners Singapore among others.
