SECI floats a tender for energy storage systems
Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has floated a tender inviting bids for the setting up of 1.2 GW of solar PV projects with 600 MW/1,200 MWh energy storage systems (ESS) on a build-own-operate basis in India. As per SECI the projects can be located anywhere in India and must connect to the interstate transmission grid.
SECI would enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders for the purchase of solar power for 25 years. A developer must bid for a minimum contracted capacity of 50 MW and a maximum of 600 MW.
