Station redevelopment project: Rs 384 crore makeover planned for Safdarjung Railway Station
Under its station redevelopment project, the Indian Railways has sanctioned a cost of Rs 384.70 Crores for the Safdarjung Railway Station. In a statement the Ministry of Railway said that the foundation work is in progress- RCC footings, retaining wall, columns, and slabs are being cast, etc. are underway.
The plan is to redevelop Safadarjung station into a world-class station that will share the increasing load of the stations at Delhi Cantt and Nizamuddin.
