Tamil Nadu government to invest Rs 1.2 trillion in ports expansion
The Tamil Nadu state government has plans to invest Rs 1.2 trillion to enhance port capacity, strengthen cargo handling efficiency. This move is in line with the state's aim to position itself as the key maritime hub.
Under the expansion, the plan is to focus on major upgrades across both public and private ports, with a focus on modern berths, deeper draughts, improved evacuation systems, and advanced logistics connectivity.
