Tata Power plans to set up wafers, ingots plant in Odisha
Tata Group firm, Tata Power, has plans to set up a 10 GW ingots-and-wafers manufacturing facility in Odisha. The firm is in discussions with the Odisha government to develop the project that will cost Rs 10,000 crores.
Ingots and wafers are key raw materials used in the production of solar cells and modules, as well as semiconductor chips.
