Kalyani Airport Project: 1,000 acres land earmaked for the project
The state of West Bengal is set to get a new greenfield airport in Kalyani, Nadia. Around 1,000 acres of land is earmarked for the project, which will serve as the second commercial airport for the Kolkata metropolitan region.
This project is a part of a broader aviation push in the budget, which also flags new airport or airfield proposals for Purulia, Balurghat and Malda.
