Bajaj Auto To Invest Rs 650 Crore To Set Up For Setting Manufacturing Plant In Maharashtra
Bajaj Group-owned automotive firm world's third-largest manufacturer of motorcycles Bajaj Auto has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government of Maharashtra to set up a manufacturing facility with a proposed investment of Rs 650 crore. The plant would be set up at Chakan, which is the biggest industrial corridor in the western suburbs of Pune. The plant would be utilized for manufacturing high-end KTM, Husqvarna, and Triumph motorcycles as well as for electric vehicles starting with Chetak. The production of the facility is expected to start production in 2023.
